Madero Therapy: The Art and Science of Wood Therapy

Sometimes the best tool is the oldest one.

In a world full of machines and lasers, one of the most requested body treatments today uses tools carved from wood.

No electricity. No needles. No recovery time.

Just wood, trained hands, and a technique perfected over generations.

This is Maderotherapy, also called wood therapy, and it came all the way from Colombia for good reason.

What Is Maderotherapy?

Maderotherapy uses a set of specially carved wooden tools. Each tool is designed for a specific part of the body and a specific job.

In trained hands, these tools work the body deeper and more evenly than hands alone.

Which tool does what, in which order, and in which direction? That is the craft itself. It is exactly what separates a certified therapist from someone who simply bought the tools.

What Is It Good For?

When completed as a course of sessions, Maderotherapy may help:

• Make cellulite less visible

• Reduce water retention and heavy legs

• Shape and define the waist, hips, thighs, and arms

• Support the body’s natural drainage

• Release muscle tension

• Wake up tired legs

It is loved by clients who want visible body results naturally, without machines or surgery.

What Does a Session Feel Like?

Every course at VIBA starts with a consultation covering your goals, health, and focus areas. Your plan is then created specifically for you.

The session itself is all about rhythm. The body is warmed up and then worked with firm, purposeful pressure.

You feel it working. The ending is what clients talk about most, a real feeling of lightness when you stand up.

Does it hurt? When performed correctly, it feels strong but should not be painful.

“Strong but pleasant” is how clients often describe it. A trained therapist adjusts the pressure according to your body.

A little redness afterwards is normal and usually fades quickly.

A full-body session takes about one hour.

How Many Sessions Do I Need?

The honest answer is that it depends on your goal.

• To feel lighter: Many clients notice a difference after the first session.

• For visible shaping and cellulite: Results build over a course of sessions, usually completed once or twice a week.

• To maintain results: After completing your course, one session each month can help maintain the results.

That is why our Full Body course at VIBA includes six sessions with a clear schedule.

Progress is planned, not improvised.

Between Sessions

• Drink plenty of water.

• Keep walking.

• Reduce your salt intake.

• Stay consistent. The body responds to rhythm.

Maderotherapy is not a replacement for a healthy lifestyle. It is a professional boost to one.

Is It for Everyone?

For most healthy adults, yes.

However, pregnancy and some health conditions require a doctor’s approval first.

That is why every course starts with a consultation and health form. Your health always comes first.

The VIBA Approach

At VIBA, Maderotherapy is not a trend we copied. It is a technique we studied.

Our therapists are trained in the anatomy behind every stroke.

That precision cannot be learned from videos or blogs. It is taught, practised, and certified. It is also exactly what we teach the professionals we train.

Because at VIBA, beauty always meets science.

Wood, Hands, and Science. That Is the Whole Secret.

No machine humming. No screen glowing.

Just craft, rhythm, and a body that feels lighter and firmer.

Some techniques survive generations for a reason.
